The idea for Gem Elixirs came when Susan Stockton, a neuromuscular therapist/bodyworker, was taking a continuing education class through the Upledger Institute on Applying Acupuncture/TCM principles to CranioSacral Therapy. When delving into the concept of unwinding and supporting the 8 Extraordinary Meridians, instructor Ken Koles (Kenneth R. Koles, Ph.D, L.Ac., D.Sc., CST-D, LMT) mentioned gemstones and essential oils that specifically relate to (and support the function of) these channels/meridians. Immediately, the idea of supporting an energetic pathway through an elixir of gemstones and essential oils resonated with Susan, who has worked with Bach Flower essences and other tinctures for nearly 20 years. “Let’s try it!” she thought - and reached out to Brenda Francis, a Crystal Resonance Healing Therapist and gemstone business owner, who has worked with essential oils for many years as well. Brenda formulated a set for Susan, who immediately integrated them into practice - personally and professionally. The results were so beneficial, they felt that these therapeutic elixirs should be shared with others - both clinicians and lay persons alike. With that intention, Essential Gem was born.
